National Robotics Hackathon 2026: Celebrating Innovation, Missions and the Joy of Learning

The National Robotics Hackathon 2026, organised by Coders Passion, has come to a close — and what a journey it has been!

This year, we were excited to introduce a brand-new category to the hackathon: the Mission Category, alongside our Project Innovation Category. With this new addition, students had the opportunity to demonstrate their robotics skills in different ways — through creative project development and hands-on mission challenges.

A New Challenge: The Mission Category

The Mission Category brought a fresh and exciting dimension to this year’s hackathon.

Students were challenged to complete five different missions, each designed to encourage them to apply their robotics knowledge, think critically, solve problems, and adapt their approach when things did not go as planned.

One of the most meaningful parts of the Mission Category was that our judges visited individual schools to assess the students. This allowed our judges to see the students in their own learning environments and observe not only their results, but also their approach to problem-solving and their perseverance along the way.

We were impressed by the enthusiasm, creativity, and determination shown by the students as they tackled each mission.

Celebrating Project Innovation

Our Project Innovation Category continued to give students the opportunity to turn their ideas into projects.

From identifying problems to designing solutions, building prototypes, programming robots, testing, troubleshooting, and presenting their ideas, students went through a valuable end-to-end learning experience.

For us, the most important outcome was never simply about who won. It was about seeing students take an idea, experiment with it, learn from mistakes, and gradually transform it into something they could be proud of.

More Than a Competition

At Coders Passion, we believe that robotics competitions are about much more than trophies and rankings.

They are about learning by doing.

Students learn to ask questions, work through challenges, collaborate with others, manage setbacks, and keep trying when their first solution does not work. These experiences build confidence and problem-solving skills that go far beyond the robotics arena.

Whether students participated in the Mission Category or the Project Innovation Category, we hope they walk away with something even more valuable than a certificate — a greater curiosity to learn, create, and explore.

As we wrap up the National Robotics Hackathon 2026, we are grateful for the memories, the challenges, the creative ideas, and most importantly, the learning that took place along the way.

We are already looking forward to seeing what the next generation of young innovators will create.
